i found a poem that i wrote a while ago after going to japan- thought i may as well shove it on here.
Paper Cranes.
paper cranes
green, red, gold
fluttering against
bright blue skies
like bombers
bringing with them
the fate of many
there are no laughing
children now
no tiny hands
making cranes
one fold
two fold
crimson paper, golden sheen
burning like fire,
like many fires
destroying paper cranes
burning hands, faces, bodies
burning a city,
a people.

today i had the japanese dev day at school, yep school on a holiday (maaajor geek, but dontcha love it?!) but it was pretty good fun :)
